IRL Streaming, The best Live Streaming genre yet.

in #streaming7 years ago (edited)

I'm going to do a quick introduction for those who don't know this streaming genre.

IRL streaming (obviously in real life streaming) is a genre of streaming that began in 2016 when Twitch introduced the IRL section, this gave the streamers the power to share their daily lives. It's like vlogging but with a lot of variables that the creator can't control. Some streamers like to walk with a speaker that allows the watchers to send donations with text or media, which are played to the world (This is called TTS or Text to speech).

Random variables are the ones that makes IRL streaming a good source of content. I'm not going to lie, being an IRL streamer is very dangerous, streamers can get swatted by trolls (which is not funny), or maybe being attacked by some crazy fan.

Being a IRL streamer can attract various types of people :

  • Stream snipers: These people are dedicated to finding the location of the streamer. This can be sometimes be fun or not, some snipers provide good content to the stream while others are just annoying.

  • Leechers: Like the snipers, they follow the streamer to their location, but these guys are different, these guys are usually streaming too and they take advantage of the content that the streamer is offering.

My favorites IRL streamers are:

  • Ice Poseidon: They guy that started it all, (at least the best content). He took IRL streaming a step forward doing crazy stuff for content. I'm not going to talk much about him, just watch his videos for yourself :

  • Asian Andy: At the beginning he sniped ice, and then they became very good friends, then he started streaming. He always go to places with TTS and gets kicked out from everywhere.

IRL streaming can offer us many hours of entertainment and fun, it is a community that has been growing in recent years and has a lot of potential. I hope you like this brief introduction.

PD: Don't stream and drive, and sorry for my bad english! Cx!
