Street photography in my city of Lagos, Nigeria : Series 1
Hello beautiful people called steemians. So, between last week and now, I decided to take a tour round some locations in my city of Lagos but not without my Gopro in hand. The aim was to take some good shots of some and anything I see.It was an impromptu arrangement for me and I just allowed the shots come the way they would.
Lagos happens to be the commercial capital of Nigeria (although the old formal capital before it was moved to Abuja). The city therefore has in it's representation of every category/class of human beings you would have and in relation to their environments.
I'll start with the ones we're most likely more familiar with and try to tell a story.
The Sun was setting this faithful day, and then the thoughts of some shots came to mind.
Apparently, that's what the roads look like when a construction is in progress... you're sure to be held in traffic.
So, there is a "bus stop" and a crowd of people. Can we find out what's going on?
Oh yeah, there is a rail line close to the busstop
Do you really think she's too close to the rail line? I bet she doesn't think same way. She's doing business... 😁
How about some sneakers?
Is she sure that shoe is her size though.
Okay, let me just pick one or two shirts, I need to change my wardrobe.
Well, that's non of my business, J need to catch a bus right away.
But, how about some mangoes before you leave?
Maybe I should get a belt instead 🤔🤔🤔
Please tap the brother in blue.
He needs to see this bright ray of the sunset.
I'm taking my leave now and there are still biz men and women to my right 😎
I have everything you need in your home, just take a branch here.
Please come, we won't sell fake memory cards to you.
We need to make ends meet my son,
Now my journey takes me to the computer village... follow me on this journey as I bring you this in my next post.
Please understand this is some street photography in which I didn't take permission before taking the shots and so, some have to appear the way they do 😃😚
All images are mine, taken with my gopro hero 5 (made the shots easier to take).
Beautiful shots bro..... Really looking forward to visiting Lagos. And maybe, you will take me around Lagos.. Have never been to Lagos before @dorth

Nice pictures.
But lots of street trading in a dangerous terrain. The hustle is real.
Between, did you notice the cloud in the first picture? It's almost the same with the cloud in your penultimate post. Same timing I guess.
Thanks for coming by bro. Street trading is just synonymous with developing countries. The government has tried as much to clear out these people from these locations, I guess they just haven't found the perfect solution. The people are hungry and they have to survive. If the city is developing too, it needs to factor in the development of her people.
As to to cloud, i actually took those pictures at different times and at different locations.
Wow its so nice to see nigeria city from your gopro thank you dorth
Thanks for coming around always @geetasnani. Just thought the little guy is giving me an opportunity to take some discrete shots and so, I should share. Watch out for more though. This is just the beginning.
