RE: Street Photography Contest Week 04 — Theme: Elderly People — Entry 2 — Chess Open
Beautifully captured, and beautiful in monochrome! This reminds me of the old guys on Jerez de la Frontera, who would play dominoes at the cafes. Great image!
Thank you very much @fotosdenada, I'm very glad you like it.
I did some street photography when I lived in Spain, but it always felt invasive with a DSLR. Have you looked at those Fuji x-100 cameras? Think they're on the fourth or fifth iteration now. If they weren't so expensive...
I'm still a bit short for FujiFilm X-100f, which is really beautiful little camera. “Expensive” is relative my dear @fotosdenada. X-100f is $1200 and only the lens for Leica, Summicron 35mm f2 is $2000.
Very true, but Leica has always been out of reach for most of us :P On the other hand, $2,000 isn't all that bad for high quality glass, and there are some specialty lenses that go for a lot more. Nikon has an old fisheye with a 210º field of view, or something insane like that. Limited copies still exist, and it usually goes between $40K - $100K!
