Sublime Sunday - A Walk along the Canal

in #sublimesunday4 years ago (edited)

At the moment, we aren't on lockdown
because of the coronavirus, so still managing to get out but keeping a safe distance from people.

Even the geese are keeping their distance from each other!

All the cafes, pubs and restaurants have now closed. Most of my hobbies involve getting out into the countryside, apart from my monthly meals out with 2 of my friends. Obviously, we've cancelled those.

I love walking along canals as they're flat! This one is disused but it would be good to get it in use again as it's a popular spot for dog walkers, cyclists etc.

Anyway, I don't know what will happen this coming week. Everything is changing every day. If the number of illnesses or deaths rise I expect lockdown is inevitable.

..... and I still can't upload photos on Hive. What a bugger!

Hi! Did you know that steemit.com is now censoring users and posts based on their opinions?
All the posts of these users are gone!
https://github.com/steemit/condenser/commit/3394af78127bdd8d037c2d49983b7b9491397296

Here's a list of some banned users:
'roelandp', 'blocktrades', 'anyx', 'ausbitbank', 'gtg', 'themarkymark', 'lukestokes.mhth', 'netuoso', 'innerhive'
See anyone you recognize? There could be more, they also have a remote IP ban list.

Will you be censored next?

I can't upload on hive either. People have told me all sorts of ways to do it and I'm just irritated as hell and don't want to jump thru all the hoops. Oh and I wish I lived near you and not in this endless sprawl of millions of freaking people... sorry. I was already isolated and bummed way before this new crap fest...

Having worked in an office for 24 years, I've had to roll with the times as far as IT's concerned. I come from a place where everything was 'accessible for all.' I like things simple and I don't like jumping through hoops either just to post a bloody photo.

I'm not one for crowds so my lifestyle hasn't been affected too much. I like a bit of hustle and bustle but I always need isolation to recharge my batteries. I hope things improve for all of us.
