Why You Need to Sharpen Your Habits?

in #success7 years ago
There will always be times when we feel a lack of confidence, weakness, or just unable to perform an important task. This can leave you discourage, instill procrastination and cause death in productivity.

All successful people do feel these same ways at times but they perceive these problems as challenges and work their way through them no matter what! They constantly sharpen their saw everyday to tackle big tasks. Regardless of where you are in your life now you have to sharpen your saw because it will turn dull eventually if you stay stagnant in whatever you are doing.

Deciding what your key areas of personal and professional goals are will determine what you should work on daily to keep these skills sharpen.

Education

Successful people never stop learning. They always remain curious and have a thirst for knowledge to do their best. This is why I often write post such as this one because it is furthering my education on becoming the best version of myself.

Lifelong learning is definitely the most fundamental step in becoming an outstanding and successful performer in life, career or business. Upgrading your skills isn't complicated at all, it requires hard work and commitment. Be curious to learn more, it is fun and stimulating to have more clarity in life.

Having a willingness to learn and experiment with new things. Do not be afraid to fail, like itself is an experiment to try out new things and learn from those mistakes and failures. Think of yourself as a mad scientist! Stay humble, it is a sign of intelligence when you admit you do not know what you are doing and opens you up to find the solutions.

Upgrade Your Skills

Once you gain more information or learn a new skill, you will make a huge difference in your ability to perform. The improvements in your abilities will lead you to become more motivated, more energetic and enthusiastic in everything you do.

This will ultimately make it easier for you to overcome procrastination and be more productive in completing tasks or goals. The more you learn, the more confident and capable you'll be in your area of expertise. There is no limit on how fast you can excel your skills.

The only one stopping you is yourself from excelling in life and achieving the "impossible"....

Great post as always. I am no longer in the full time work force but this allows me have the time for personal growth and striving to be that better version of myself. I don't know if it is just me but if I have a passion or interest in something I can absorb new information like a sponge therefore I gravitate toward these. But I also like a challenge I love that feeling of overcoming my fears and self doubt when I achieve but I got to tell you it isn't near as easy to pick up the information and can take twice as long. That is where Steem comes in I have learned so many new things on here under so many different topics and some of the topics I would never have thought to explore. You are one of my mentors on here and thank you for sharing such stimulating posts @bitdollar.

I love personal growth and trying to better myself also. It is great you can absorb new information so well...sometimes takes me a few do overs to get it, lol. But we do absorb it even if we think we don't. Sometimes after reading a book, weeks later some information will pop into my head when talking to someone and I clearly remember something I didn't even realize I knew, lol.

Steem is so wonderful for this, I love it! You are very much a mentor for me as well @donnab, thank you so much! You are awesome, your comments are as valuable as a well written post!

Have a great day! :)

Sometimes I wonder about all the time I wasted not learning new skill. We never know what opportunity will come our way. The jack of all traits, skills, and talents and slowly a master of them should be the new saying.

Yea I agree. We never know what we are capable of until we do it! :)

it does require so much discipline to achieve certain things we all want. Definitely sharpening your habits will be a way of discipline you may need in order to succeed. I appreciate your advices in this matter :)

Yea discipline will keep us on track! Thanks @javybar!

great writing sir... just amazing... 👍

I completely agree! Never stop learning. But taking action is always important. If you just learn and don't take action, you won't see results.

Knowledge is power they say but I say knowledge + execution = true power! Totally agree @musicman99!

The great thing is, elearning is making this process a lot easier and convenient. I am literally an udemy junky.

What is udemy?

You are so right and I can see people evolving into amazing consciousness and into great topics because of this. We have everything at our fingertips!
