How to be Focused on Your Goals
Commit yourself to your school or work.
Make a list of the things you want to accomplish. Have a checklist.
Realize what you want in life.
Determine your mission or purpose.
Pay attention to what you are doing.
If you are committed and determined in achieving your goals, for example in school, do not get involved in a relationship.
Do not go out to hang out with your friends and party when you are supposed to be studying or you have work the following day.
Avoid watching TV at the same time as doing your task.
Do not browse on your phone while studying or working.
Learn to say no. If your hands are full or you have something important to do, let them know that you can’t do what they are asking you to do.
Avoid distractions.
Have a schedule for everything. E.g., set up the things you want to accomplish from Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday, this is your free day.
Have a blackboard or whiteboard where you write your goals and your achievements.
Display your medals and trophies, this will remind you that you are doing great and everything that you do is effective and productive.
Surround yourself with people who have the same goals as yourself.
Have a routine. Repetition turns into a habit.
