Sundarbans is located in the coastal area of the Bay of Bengal. It is situated in the delta region of the Ganges, Meghna and Brahmaputra river basins. As the largest mangrove forest in the coastal environment, the Sundarbans is the largest forest in the world. There are 6,000 square kilometers of Sundarbans, which comprise 10,000 sq km, in Bangladesh and the rest is in India.
In addition to the Royal Bengal Tiger in the forest, many species of birds, Chitra deer, crocodiles and snakes are also known as habitats. It has been named from the beautiful trees of the Sundarbans.
