Red ripe tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and contain high levels of lycopene - an antioxidant that protects your skin from the effects of sunlight. Adding tomatoes to the daily menu is proven to help protect the skin from sunburn. The body will be more easily absorbed when the tomatoes are cooked because when cooked will release lycopene from the cell.
Tomatoes, lycopene, and antioxidants. The combination of these nutrients can help the immune system get stronger and protect the body from UV radiation and free radicals.
