Meet Suriname: Powaka small but beautiful
This post wil be about a village called Powaka which is located in district of Para. Most Surinamese people know it as a place to go swimming with the family. Powaka has multiple resorts which offer you that pleasure but today will be about the other side.
Powaka is much more then just swimming. Although I must say after a hard week of working, relaxing in the cold natural water under the trees is heaven on earh.
First of all every vacation me and my friends go camping. At the time of writing this Powaka just received electricity. Before that they were using generators so that means electricity was only available between 12pm and 8 pm. No electricity makes it a awesome place to go camping. People should try doing this more especially with friends. It brings you closer because of the lack of electricity.
The other beautiful part from what I know is that a lot of the village people plant their own ananas(pineapple). At least one time in your life you have to see how pineapple is grown in a big field. This one is a small one.
