RE: Law Enforcement Using "Reverse Warrants" to Track People in the Area of a Crime Using Cell Data

in #surveillance6 years ago (edited)

Hmmmm,,,

Private data is not private anymore. This is worrying. Are we truly shifting to the world that was portrayed in ‘1984’ by George Orwell?

I have a friend who doesn’t even connect to the internet, no WhatsApp or Facebook. Just texts and calls.

I ask myself if I could live like that for just 12 hours...

I use a Windows Phone and I de-installed the FB some time ago, both the main app and the moronic FB messenger.

I don't trust Microsoft but since it's used by less than 1% of the population, it should be safer.

Well google is prime because it's widespread, so I guess Micro$oft is better in that regard. Not sure what they location tracking is like though...

Lol, my friend uses a windows phone too

Smart guy.

That's thought for sure. I don't go on FB much at all, and I don't even know what WhatsApp really is... lol

WhatsApp is a Messenger app, just like FB Messenger.

Both are owned by Facebook. Better to avoid them.

And there's Instagram, too. Also owned by Facebook.

I am on all of them 😂
