Carolina Parakeet (Conuropsis carolinensis) a sacred bird to the Qarsherskiyan people
The Qarsherskiyan Tribe considers Carolina Parakeets, along with Trifoliate Orange Trees, to be a sacred symbol of the Ethnic Qarsherskiyan Tribe. According to the popular North American interpretation of Aliyite Shia Islam, a Zaydi Sufi order, the Carolina Parakeets listened to Imam Ali's sermon when he stepped foot in North America at the Hill Of Wisdom, atop which a Sweetgum tree was later planted, called the Tree Of Wisdom. The Carolina Parakeets are then said to have mimicked the speech of Imam Ali, repeating it over and over wherever they flew, and so Native Americans would hear this message and some are said to have became Muslims.
