SWIFTCASH BUDGETS - HOW TO VOTE

in #swiftcash6 years ago (edited)

Currently voting on proposals can only be done via the console or cli with commands. There is however a proposal that wants to create a User Interface for voting in the qt wallet so if you don't like commands, make sure you vote yes to that proposal. In the meantime however, we're stuck using commands but it's actually quite easy!

STEP 1

You can either see a list of proposals HERE or by typing mnbudget show in the console. Each proposal has a link to its details. We did recommend everyone to use the STEEM platform for the details but not everyone has done so! You can also see the number of votes, the monthly amount being asked for as well as the total amount which is the monthly amount multiplied by payment counts.

STEP 2

Once you have read the details of the proposal and are ready to vote, you need to copy the hash of the proposal you want to vote on first which in the case of above, is the long string that starts with 3e2a2ff16. You then need to paste the following command in the console if you want to vote yes: mnbudget vote-many PASTE_PROPOSAL_HASH_HERE yes. Make sure you paste the proposal hash in the place holder and if you want to vote no or abstain, you can change yes to no or abstain.

NOTES

Keep in mind that only those who operate a SwiftNode can vote, each SwiftNode is equal to 1 vote and the above command will vote with all your SwiftNodes.
