Why I Don't Wear a Bikini and Cover Up on the Beach or Pool

in #swimsuit8 years ago

I noticed that it seems people here only pay attention to girls who are wearing barely anything. I don't get it, yet I completely get it at the same time. The objectification of women without truly getting to know their hearts is a problem. I have found that when I cover up, I actually gain respectful remarks from men or am ignored as they check out the bikini ladies. People will try to get to know ME, not my body. I am more than my body.

I used to try to get guys' attention when I was younger and I was offered to be a soft-core and pin-up model when I was in my late teens/early twenties. Now I am in my early 30s (though look younger thanks to sunscreen), but I have always covered up on the beach, especially once I hit my early twenties. I was tired of the negativity and lust towards me. I am a married woman and like that my body is completely for my husband's enjoyment alone. Wearing a bikini leaves little to the imagination.

I totally would have loved to wear those full covering bathing suits from the early 1900s. haha.

You have a wonderful smile and that seems to be coupled with a good mind. Thanks for the post.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

That's great for you, awesome in your confidence. What you are speaking of is women objectifying themselves for attention though, so can't really be upset about it.

For men women's body is the main part.
But if it combined with a wonderful inner world it attracts more.

Sexy anyway :) Up

Very beautiful!

Heck YES! Thanks for posting this. I'm tired of seeing women posting their cleavage for pennies.
