Professor Mohammad Marandi, is a Professor of English Literature and Orientalism at the University of Tehran. He was invited to speak at a panel and the topic of discussion was the "Intercultural Dialogue and Mediation in Conflict Prevention and Conflict Resolution" during the International Conference of “Mediation, Conflict Prevention and Resolution in the Emerging Paradigm. This conference was held between February 24-25 of 2018 in Belgrade Serbia. During this talk he speaks about Syria, the United States and it's relationship with Iran. Iranian misrepresentation in the international press and the crafting of narratives that suit western governments mainly the united states to achieve geo-political goal.
