Romantic Ethnography: Writing Romantically
Parsing words into a writing is a way of expressing oneself, taste and hope. At least this is what I believe since wrestle this hobby. I'm not a great person in producing fantastic works. Or a person who has good analytical skills so challenging to produce a book. I'm just a person trying to stand as a freelance writer with a semi-scientific writing style.
Why am I classifying my writing style as semi-scientific? this is inseparable from my wildly impressed way of looking at something I see, but not having a good scientific analysis. My interest in poetry with beautiful and charming dictionaries provides a good treasury. This is what makes some of my writing half analytical based on phenomena but also filled with a dense and charming diction.
Reflecting on ethnography as a writing, somehow I am so attached. Like my writing style combined with simple and straightforward ethnographic description. Ethnography as an article comes as a description of field research on people, about society and about the culture that exists. The translation of data in ethnography should be a simple but consistent translation. An ethnographer is required to provide a good picture of what he sees in simple writing that can be read by anyone who is good at reading.
It is this simple yet deep-rooted depiction of ethnography that makes me deeper into how to present what I see well. But I add a simple diction element for writing to be more comfortable to read. That way the power of the writing that I produce becomes stronger and tries to keep away from the element of boredom in the reader.
Then how I write ?, I express my way of writing is a romantic way. How do I describe the condition of society or the subject I want to describe with a detailed explanation but added an inconspicuous dictionary. For example I give a quote of one of my writing as follows:
Some of the above quotations indicate that ethnography in my view is beautiful writing. As a beautiful writing of course also as a romantic writing. On the basis of it then write the ethnography into a romantic writing, in addition to solid with the subject or object description to be discussed, can be added a simple diction as an amplifier.
My simple writing style is certainly easy to implement. But sometimes I still hang on to the question, why is it so hard to start a writing ?. at least the question is often for the final student discussing what he should first write in his final assignment. For a long time I thought until I came to a simple assumption. Writing should be like bragging.
Why that assumption arises from the many assumptions that may come to mind. This is because I'm trying to figure out a simple way of expressing a post so it's easier. Writing should be as simple as boasting, how we can easily brag and dodge from problems, then create fake scenarios to defend ourselves. or about how a young man begins to combine with the word love to attract the heart of his idol lady. It should be as simple as writing. How to boast and globalize expression that can be poured in writing, may we be enlightened. thanks.
