The food places business never dies. There are always new things that can be explored and developed according to things that are popular and trends at the time.

Taste, and design concepts are always two things that become the center of attention of consumers to choose a place.

The cafe that I currently visit in the Yummy Traveler series is Never Been Better in the Kemang area, South Jakarta. This place is famous for young people who are creative and active.

The concept that Never Been Better has is a cafe that has an industrial design, adapted to the current modern era, which seems firm and minimalist. This concept is boldly taken by Never Been Better, because for a cafe room concept, industrial design is not easy to apply to make visitors comfortable, because it is too impressed to have all the texture of a hard design, with colors far from being soft. Of course this is a challenge to Never Been Better.

This industrial concept interior design has its own characteristics, namely some materials that tend to be rough like metal and steel beams on the floor are deliberately exposed to show their character and display more nuances related to the industrial world. This style is usually functionally designed with a strong technical background.

The concept of industrial design has a characteristic that focuses on the selection of material that looks as it is, such as exposed brick walls, concrete floors, existing material finished by highlighting its natural shape and texture. The final appearance is a mysterious atmosphere and a little loud but still cozy.

The selection of industrial design concepts at Never Been Better is seen in the application of furniture. Materials used are recycled materials or industrial materials such as glass, iron and aluminum which are processed in such a way that they can be used as attractive interior elements.

We can also see the open kitchen concept that is surrounded by bar stools with dominant iron and aluminum materials.

Today's Life is Better with Recycling

Never Been Better is an expression that states a person's condition is good, never as good as today. Indirectly, the cafe wants to campaign for the younger generation to take part in reusing items that can be recycled.

Because, the style of industrial interior design is applied art where the aesthetics and usability of an item are refined to produce products, goods, industrial commodities or handicrafts.

Never Been Better wants to be an example that things that are recycling are not bad, and can be as comfortable as in a cafe Never Been Better. Life will be better if we can recycle various things that are not used, become things that can be useful and have aesthetic value.

For areas that are impressed with privacy, Never Been Better uses the recycled details of fan devices to beautify the dividing area between one table and the other.

Menu

The menu provided in Never Been Better is not much. There are only a few popular Indonesian foods, with a few international touches.

An authentic Indonesian menu of fried rice, grilled chicken rice, Soto Ayam, and "Mie Tektek".

For a touch of international cuisine, there are types of pasta, steaks and chicken flavored with selected spices such as Oregano, Gomen and Creamy Garlic.

Visitors do not need to worry because there are also snacks, and dessert, from Indonesia and the International menu.

For drinks, there is a variety of tea, coffee, juice, and homemade drinks. Never Been Better choices are refreshing, made from a mixture of several ingredients that make the beverage taste unique.

My Choices Menu

I chose this place's recommendation menu, which was marked with a picture of the chef's hat on the Menu List.

Because I came here at a late dinner, then I chose the main course, Chicken Rice Oregano. This is the first time I have tried chicken flavored with Oregano spices.

In my opinion, the taste of Oregano is quite absorbed in this chicken. For taste at a low price, the taste of this chicken does not disappoint.

Additional vegetable salads in the form of cabbage and carrots with fresh dressings add more value to this dish.

Menu around 20-50 IDR, or around 2-5 Steem with the price per day.

Drink

For drinks, I chose a recommendation from this place, Green Paradise. The ingredients of this drink come from a mixture of milk, caramel, lemon, and in it there is also a green jelly which mints will taste.

I like the sensation created by this drink. Fresh, and the texture of jelly is fun. It feels like opening my sleepy eyes, even without coffee.

The sensation really feels like you're in paradise. Really like it!

The Conclusion of Yummy Traveler In Never Been Better

The industrial concept is a concept with a firm design that dares to be applied in Never Been Bettter, and they succeed. Although the design with the concept seems too serious and monotonous for a cafe design, but NNever Been Bettter has succeeded in bringing modern and experimental concepts.

Being in the cafe Never Been Bettter while enjoying the menu choices in this place, will make visitors understand again the meaning of the value of an unused material that can be recycled into something of value in this modern era.

If you visit Kemang, South Jakarta, which is famous for this expensive lifestyle, I recommend you to visit Never Been Bettter because the price is quite affordable.
