Jilapi, the traditional sweet item
Hello foodies,
Hope you all are well.
Today I will introduce you a traditional sweet item of Bangladesh. It is called ‘Jilapi’. This item is my today’s takeaway from Islam Foods.
My wife was fasting today. Though it is not the month of Ramadan, she is fasting for the replacement Roja. For some reason she wasn’t able to complete all the thirty days fasting last year. For that reason she is doing the replacements. However, on the way back to my office, I bought some Iftar( fast breaking foods) for her. Jilapi is a very common item for our Iftar. So, I took half KG of Jilapi from the restaurant.
The Jilapies were very much hot. I took those immediately after baking. You can see the below pictures where they were making the Jilapies.
Here are the pictures of Jilapies after getting home.
The name of the restaurant is Islam Foods. The restaurant is opposite side of Shah Ali Market at Mirpur-10 area. Their main items are sweets. You can also get other foods like burgers from here. Here are the pictures of the restaurant.
You are invited to take foods from here. All the pictures were captured using my iPhone 11 Pro Max mobile phone. Thanks for stopping by.
