Dark mode is much worse than light mode

in #tasteem6 years ago

No, I'm not joking. I use social media on my phone and steemit on the pc and whenever I read a text post in dark mode I have to take my eyes off the screen for a second, and I see rows of lines when I blink because of the white text.

The contrast between the jet black background and the bright white text gives me such a headache, but the light mode is simpler and the contrast is soft.

And don't get me started on the reflections. Sometimes I find it hard to read shit because I'm distracted by the movement of my face reflected in the darkness, and I'll be honest, I really don't want to see my face when i m browsing

And as well as both of those, dark mode always makes me want to fall asleep whenever I use it. Light mode makes me feel awake and energetic, but dark mode just adds to my daily exhaustion.

In conclusion, dark mode hurts my eyes, even when I'm not looking at the screen anymore, gives me a headache, makes it hard to read shit and makes me focus on my reflection when I'm trying to, whereas light mode is soft on the eyes, doesn't reflect anything, makes me feel awake and energetic .
