Finding a good burger or hot dog in Sydney isn’t too hard, but what does one do for those hard to find all American fixes like Diet Mtn Dew, Peanut Butter M&Ms, Poptarts, Twinkies, etc.?

If you don’t mind a wait and don’t mind an okay but not spectacular price I’d recommend USA Foods(http://www.usafoods.com.au). Their selection is stellar and the prices, while a bit high, aren’t exorbitant. Some of these foods they have I, an American, haven’t even tried!

If you want a more in person experience IGA(an Australian supermarket chain) can be very hit or miss. I’ve found Reese’s peanut butter cups, Peanut Butter M&Ms, Twinkies, Warheads, Tacos, etc. The selection varies by store with stores in more European areas of Sydney having the best selections. Additionally, the prices usually can’t be beat! $1.39AUD for Peanut Butter M&Ms is better than what I paid in the US!

Finally, if you want a full selection of US treats you can physically touch and don’t mind a slight markup, just outside the city there is USA Candy Factory. FYI all the photos above are from here. As you can see the display is spectacular, the selection is better than most markets IN the US and it’s just a fun place to explore a great selection of American treats!
