By May 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) will recognize and classify gaming disorder as a mental health condition.

The WHO defines the disorder as a "persistent or recurrent" behavior pattern of "sufficient severity to result in significant impairment in personal, family, social, educational, occupational or other important areas of functioning."

I've posted about this problem before, about people especially teens who are addicted to Video gaming. You may check my previous post about it HERE

I think it is about time that WHO recognize that this is a serious problem, and people should seriously be aware of its consequences. Just like addiction to drugs, if there is no control, people's lives can be ruined due to physical ailments and mental disorder.

Yes, it's hard not to notice how video games has changed people lives, not just adults but toddlers too. Some children as old as 7 years old are already addicted to smartphone and tabs, they will cry their lungs out if these gadgets are taken away from them. Is this is not a mental problem, then what could it be?
