Today after work, I have dry spicy Bak kut teh for dinner.

I have not touch dry spicy Bak kut teh for a long time since March after the lockdown started. So i decide to come to Restoran Mang Chuan hawker center to order from this stall .

They sell their Bak kut teh for RM10.00. It comes with a bowl of rice.

This is how it looks like when it comes.

The original dish is supposed to consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices. However, this is localized to local taste due to the local love spicy taste. So the soup of the main dish is replaced with thick sauce and more dry chili.

The price is very reasonable for the number of ingredients they give.

If you wish to try it out, you can come here by LRT by going to Wangsa Maju station. You just need to find the Restoran Mang Chuan and you will see it. Just beware that the stall opens every day only from 5 pm to 11 pm. If you come before 5 pm, you won't see anyone selling it.

Here is how around the hawker center looks like.
