Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) Show 2018 Part 2 - 30/11/18

So I mentioned in my last post there were two other interesting attractions at MAHA 2018 that I wanted to visit. Here they are :

The first one was Castle of Fruit, this one showcases the many local fruits of Malaysia and the products that derived from it. This year the castle was themed 'Coconut Street'.

Coconut maybe this year's theme but the main star of the show is obvious 😃

Exiting at the other side of the castle took me to the farmers market. Here a large array of garden plants and fruit saplings were on sale for amazing prices. One of the stalls even sold bonzai, the younger specimens from RM25. Orchids and roses were the most popular here, as it appealed to those living in urban areas.

The other place was the one that had the hobbit-holes, like the ones they had in The Shire in 'The Hobbit' movies. Turns out it was a flora-park, which the organisers had built using the concept of a 'Miracle Garden'.

Here garden flowers were crafted into intricate arches and cascading designs. There was even a stall that sells carnivorous plants, and a tomato garden.

The hobbit-hole I was looking for. Actually there was only one, but well replicated:

That's it for MAHA 2018!
