Should Photographer involve in Business Networking??

As mention earlier post, i revealed how can i get consistent in getting paid job by doing task from company.

The keyword here is "NETWORKING"

Yes it is.

Why? because it proven to me within this 2 years, I don't even focus social media because the paid task i receive is enough yet for me to cover my monthly expenses. I grow up my freelance business in Networking Session. There is lot of event organizer conduct Networking Session. Some of it you need to pay and some of it FREE and you can leverage to get paid task.

How to be good Networker for Photographer?

You cannot sell yourself at the first place once you meet those community because why. They don't even know you and why should i heard about you and for what am i interested about you. so this is the tip and tricks for photographer.

  1. Always bring your camera and hang in at your shoulder at all the time. Your personality already shown that you are photographer.
  2. Let be interest to people. Ask about them first, build your first relationship. Your turn will come after that to let them know about you.
  3. Don't Hard Sell, and see them as your client 100%. Let them be your friend, and the most important is the chance to meet 2nd time not only 1 time.
  4. You must be a farmer not hunter. This is for your relationship, the will gave you a refferal and let you provide your service but need to be patient. We are looking long term relationship not short term.
  5. Always keep in touch with your Networking Circle. How?? Be VISIBLE and CREDITABLE then your ** PROFIT** will come later.

Be a Networker to get constant paid task rather walk in and one time task only. This is what our Photographer Community miss..
