Restoration tree planting project by a Group of Danish Students
Another’s day contributes to our nature!
Today it’s our tree planting day! Habitat restoration work within the lower kinabatangan wildlife sanctuary to reconnect back wildlife corridors that are essential for wildlife movement and genetic flow.
A group of 18 students from Denmark and I have contributed to the environment by planting 90 trees with a variety of different species.
Most of the tree species is fast growing such as Fig trees (Ficus spp), Dellenia spp and Artocarpus Family trees which provide more food to the wildlife living along the lower kinabatangan corridor sanctuary.
Habitat restoration through tree planting is one of the best ways to address connectivity of fragmented forest within the Wildlife Sanctuary.
Hopefully what we have done today will help to enrich our wildlife and environment.

Excellent job. We do need to plant more trees. Especially trees that bear fruits. Fig trees provide good fruits for the animals.
