Bonne apres midi :) Good afternoon ..Selamat tengahari esteemers!

I was enjoying myself looking around at this ancient site as if it was a fairyland with it’s huge beautiful decorations of columns and amazing architecture.

Couldn't resist to take photo at this awesome viewing points overlooking the blue Mediterranean sea

Amazing columns architecture

I walk further down to the ruins of Antonine Baths.

It was considered among the most sumptuous baths in the Roman Empire which comprises some of the most impressive ruins of Punic statues, Roman villas and basilicas, some of which have retained fragments of it’s ancient mosaics.

Down the hill there was an ancient Punic residential area with multi-storey houses made from mud brick on stone foundations. They had court yards, mosaic floors, swimming pools and underground cisterns to collect water.

I walked along this old historic Roman road from the Acropolis of Carthage. This place is now part of Unesco World Heritage site and it was an exceptional experience.

Well.. guess I had enough of Romans for this visit :)

Stay tune for my next posting from the most beautiful town of all of Tunisia, Sidi Bou Said a reminiscent of the Greek Islands of Santorini.

Till then..Cheers!
