Two months ago, I announced that I will be receiving Steem and SBD for Tours in Sabah. Many don't know that I run a small humble Licensed Tour Operator in Sabah, East Malaysia. When I launched the Steem SBD paid packages in the recent Matta Fair KL March this year, many have asked, "What is Steem? How does it work and etc?". It was actually more like an introduction to people about Steemit rather than making ends meet (if you understand what I'm saying).

Today I'm announcing, "Hotel Booking in Malaysia, Pay with Steem or SBD" with the collaboration with Hotels.com. We #totallyborneoholidays are now an Online Travel Agent (OTA). Hence, you can pay with Steem or SBD when you book your next hotel booking in Malaysia with us. Cool Right?

How does it Work?

1. Go to www.hotels.com
2. Choose your preferred Hotel and Room Category
3. Understand the Terms & Conditions / Company Policy (Especially the Refunding / Cancelling Policies. May differ for each hotel)
4. Key in Your Booking Name and Dates (Double Confirmed It)
5. Click until the Pay Out Page (Screen Shot the Page)
6. E-mail to me at [email protected] or [email protected]

7. We shall then agree on the Steem or SBD based on the current market value
8. Once agreed, we shall proceed to make your bookings based on the information provided by you
9. Upon confirmation, we will email you back the Confirmation Letter by Hotels.com (Immediate Confirmation)

*Important Note: Some hotels have strict policies, for example, the above "Non-Refundable" once booked. Therefore, please read the details and terms and conditions of these policies before sending it to me to process.

So simple actually, that's about it really, just make sure all dates, names, room type, room bedding configuration are stated correctly and we will follow as per written instruction. You may then email us directly the details for double confirmation. Easy right? So when you plan to stay at any hotels in Malaysia, you may check out Hotels.com first and make a reservation with us to PAY WITH STEEM OR SBD.

For those who are interested in booking or making hotel reservations outside of Malaysia, you may still do so with us but we shall deal with these bookings from case to case basis.

Mandatory FEES to be Paid at the Hotel

If you are a non-Malaysian, you will be asked to pay the following charges either during your check-in or check-out at any hotels in Malaysia:

Foreign tourists staying at paid accommodation in Malaysia are subject to pay a Tourism Tax of MYR10 per room per night effective from 1 September 2017. The Tourism Tax is mandatory and regulated by the Ministry of Finance and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

This flat rate of MYR10 will be applicable for all room types, based on per room per night basis.

Under the Tourism Tax (Exemption) Order 2017, Malaysians or Permanent Residents with MyPR cards are exempted from paying the Tourism Tax.

However, in the State of Penang, a City Tax is imposed by the Local Government: MYR 3.00 per room, per night for 4- 5 Hotel and MYR2 for 3* Hotel and below > Apply to ALL Malaysian and Non-Malaysian Click here for more details info.
