in #teammexico7 years ago (edited)

We just started a thread on Discord called teammexico and invite all Steemians from Mexico to join. There is also a new Steemit account called @teammexico

Why should I Join Team Mexico?

The PAL (Peace, Abundance, Liberty) network on Discord, who supports many community projects including the Minnow Support Project, is a huge community of supporting Steemians who fund and support many projects on Steemit.

They specialize in helping new people on Steemit get their quality posts seen, upvoted, and shared which all help you get a boost on Steemit.

Where ever you are in Mexico, when you post and use teammexico as the first tag in your post you will be seen by this group on their discord channel.

It is small now but as the group in teammexico grows we will all support and help each other grow on Steemit. There are already many Steemian in Mexico and the time has come for all of us to gather as one. Together we are stronger, that's why minnows swim together.

In less than an hour, we already have over 10 people in it who all can bring more. The larger we grow this group the more your future posts using the teammexico tag will be upvoted.

What Do I Have To Do?

Download the Discord App on your phone or desktop. It is available free from Google Play Store or iTunes.

It's a good idea to use the same username you have on Steemit for Discord. You don't have to but it will make communication across both platforms a lot easier.

Once it is installed click on this invite code for the PAL network:

https://discord.gg/49UJz69

This will take you to the PAL network on Discord.

When you arrive there it will look like a lot is going on and you may feel a bit confused. Don't worry, Uncle Luzcypher has you covered.

On the left side of the screen, you will see a bunch of titles to the different chat rooms. Scroll down, way down until you see teammexico and click on that.

Then introduce yourself. Don't just start spamming links in there unless you don't have a brain. Get to know people and help build the community. Keep sending new Steemians from Mexico there.

Automatic Translations

These are Spanish and English speaking people in this thread right now and we have an easy way for you to post comments in both languages so everyone can understand each other.

If you type in English:

Type this at the start of your post:

:t spanish

For example:

:t spanish Welcome to teammexico!

Will post it in English and Spanish automatically

:t Bienvenido a teammexico!

Si escribe en Español:

Escribe esto al comienzo de tu publicación:

:t english

Por ejemplo:

:t english Bienvenido a teammexico

Lo publicará en Inglés y Español automáticamente

:t Welcome to teammexico!

That's all there is to it:
Just add :t language
before posting and it will translate it for you.

What Is The Longterm Benefit To Being In This Group?

To get the maximum benefit from being part of this group first you will have to use the right tags.

When you make a post that is related to Mexico, using teammexico as the first tag will get you seen by this community and help your posts get noticed and upvoted, but there's more to it.

I have also started a new account on Steemit with the handle @teammexico. As our community grows we will find some people to delegate Steem Power to this account and create a bot so those who support @teammexico will automatically upvote posts beginning with the tag teammexico.

So to break it all down for you, join this group and as we post about our meetups and other posts related to Mexico you will get more upvotes.

For those of you starting teamcancun with me here in Cancun, your tags should look like this:

teammexico teamcancun mexico-trail cervantes minnowsupport

You can copy and paste this into your tags on your post:

teammexico teamcancun mexico-trail cervantes minnowsupport

Using these 5 tags in this order it will benefit you the most in the long run as this community grows because your posts will show up in communities that will help it get upvoted. At the very least use the first 3 tags with teammexico as the first one.

The important thing now is to get in this group and use the right tags on your posts. Send people on Steemit in Mexico to this post so they can be a part of the community.

For those of you starting other meetup groups in Mexico, your tags should look like this:

teammexico teamTuCuidad mexico-trail cervantes minnowsupport

You can copy and paste this into your posts:

You would change the 2nd tag to teamYourCity replacing TuCuidad with your city in Mexico.

For example, if you are from Jalisco your secong tag would be teamjalisco

teammexico teamcancun mexico-trail cervantes minnowsupport

Once we have the account funded, the bot built, and a crowd of Steemians from Mexico here, it will be easy to connect each others accounts through the @teammexico account so that we all automatically upvote each others posts.

We will also get to know other Steemians in Mexico and possibly have a joining of the meetup groups.

May I suggest Cancun?

Be sure to bookmark this post so when a friend of yours in Mexico joins Steemit they can plug into the community here and get off to a good start.

Follow @teammexico on Steemit to get updates.

Two other large Spanish speaking groups to follow on Steemit are @cervantes and @mexico-trail and if you meet people there be sure to invite them over here so we can connect groups.

When you get set up on Discord and have joined teammexico there, be sure to find me, @luzcypher, and say hi.

TeamMexico has only just begun but I have a feeling it's going to be huge.
