My Accounts, an Explanation!steemCreated with Sketch.

in #teamnz7 years ago

I think I've got some explaining to do!

@Devi1714 has been my account on Steemit ever since I started here. It's been the account where I posted everything, no matter the topic. However, after listening to some advice for Steemit and blogging/content creation in general, I've decided this will no longer work.

I have a large variety of interests which vary greatly, and I have come to believe that it is both confusing to my followers and possibly even detrimental to my growth to post everything under this single account. As everyone can tell, I mostly post photos. However occasionally I post other random things... Computers, life, etc.

So I have therefore decided to split my accounts up, as I want to be as active on Steemit as possible, while also being able to provide specialised content for the people interested in different topics. It just doesn't make sense to post everything I want on one single account.

A few weeks ago I created two new accounts which both recently got verified. These accounts are @devitech and @zephyr119.

Here's a rundown on what you can expect from each!

@devitech

  • Photography
  • Anything related to photography
  • Travel posts/blogs
  • @Devi1714 will remain almost the same as it currently is, just without the occasional unrelated posts. I will also post things related to photography here (tutorials, how to's, editing, etc)

I am sorry for any confusion that I have caused (if anyone noticed haha). I didn't really want to go through the phases of being a new user again though, so I boosted both introduction posts... I hope I can be forgiven for that! And even though I have little power split across the accounts (or none just yet...) they are all following the @TeamNZ curation trial to 70% VP.

Thank you for reading, and feel free to follow whichever accounts fancy you!

    Great idea :)

Make sure you get the new a/c's registered with @cryptonik for our bot. :D

I just did that! Haha. Thank you, I think it's easier for everyone this way :)

Hi @devi1714 I called in to thank you for your wonderful support and after reading what you have written here, you have got me thinking as to whether I should separate my digital art into a new account, as I too, have various interests. I am enjoying producing a bit of poetry lately. Food for thought!!! Have an awesome day.

No problem! I am enjoying your photos as always :) I think that if you post either very different topics or lots of topics it can definitely be a beneficial move. It just allows people to receive the content they want, rather than everything we want to post!

I think you are correct with your observations @devi1714 and will look into that when I get back from my holiday. Thanks very much for your input.
