Knock knock

Whilst shooting part of a reality show on the banks of the Qwaninga River near Kob Inn in the Transkei we were interrupted by a small herd of cattle on their daily migration.

We set up the scene on the cattle's route, so we were in the wrong here big time. I felt really bad for the cows because they did not want to continue on their way as they were obviously a little weary of this crew of humans (white folk no less) in the way.

Being the Assistant Director I made the call to stop filming to let the bovine procession continue as I knew the tide was coming in and that if the cattle did not make the crossing they would be stuck on the wrong side of the river, and who knows what might happen then?

Only in Africa:)

The Cows are in Town...

These animals cruise everywhere, on the beaches, freeways, over sports fields, and you are surprised....
