Hidden Figures is a 2016 film that is based on a true event, which showcases the brilliant minds of the three African-American ladies who are working under NASA, and served as the brains behind the greatest space operations in the history.
After I watched the entire film, I could not think how Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson able to handle all the circumstances they faced while working on NASA. It is very clear that they experienced a lot of big obstacles; the segregation law and with the fact that they are working in a society that belittles a women's capabilities about something. I was amazed on how they deal with all the odds and decided to accept their fate. I like the idea that they didn't stop dreaming and achieving their goals. I love how passionate they are with their work, though their workmates are being rude to them most of the times. There is a complete injustice and an unequal treatment to them, making them feel that they are useless and devalued. The great thing about that, was they didn't try to see that as a hindrance, yet, they manage to make it as a motivation in life. I love how the movie addresses the main message of the story. It's something that we should work on, no special treatments, do not underestimate others and don't be so quick in judging because we might end up eating the words we spit. This movie serves as a wake up call to everyone that there is no place for racism, discrimination, and under-rating others. This movie gave me more reasons to respect women in the society. I admire and salute these brave ladies for always working on their dreams and they did never stop to become the first. Over all, the movie taught me to be brave and to be determined; to be passionate and compassionate; and to never stop dreaming and living the dream. This just proves that whatever circumstances may we be facing, you can surpass if you are going to stay focus on your goals.
