Huawei became the Second Biggest Smartphone Vendor Ahead of Apple in Q2 2018 according to IDC
China based company Huawei took the second place from Apple in the highly competitive smartphone market . During the second quarter of this year i.e 2018 as Samsung still remains at the top .
South Korean company Samsung remained the top smartphone maker, shipping 71.5 million handsets, and Huawei moved into second position with shipments of 54.2 million, according to IDC .
Apple shipped 41.3 million iPhones, claiming 12.1 percent of the global market compared to 20.9 percent for Samsung and 15.8 percent for Huawei.
According to IDC, since 2010 it is the first time that Apple slipped from the top two spots .
Apple, Huawei and Samsung are the main contenders when it came to competition for high-end smartphones .
