Below are a few smartphones that have been presented in Barcelona - including the latest Samsung smartphone. Here's our TOP 5.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 +

It is impossible to hide that the most important presentation of this year's MWC was the new Samsung smartphones. We've already got Flag Flags a little before the premiere, but you have to admit that they have made a huge impression live! The series line will change somewhat, including the fingerprint reader was placed under the camera module, and the stereo speakers on the front panel appeared. Wprost impresses the Exynos 9810 processor and camera! In Galaxy S9 Plus even double!

Asus ZenFone 5Z

Taiwanese presented at this year's fair three new models, namely Asus ZenFone 5Z, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5 Lite. The first one will cost from 479 euros, but will hit the market only in June. We will buy the intermediate model in April, and Lite is already available. ASUS ZenFone 5Z is a flagship, so it's not surprising its strong specification. However, it can compete with the most important players - like Galaxy S9 or LG G7.

LG V30s ThinQ

Samsung Galaxy S9 is the newest flagship of the Korean manufacturer, while LG will present the G6 successor after the fair. However, it did not come with empty hands, because we could admire the V30s ThinQ model, i.e. an improved V30. Its biggest advantage are functions based on artificial intelligence. Sounds intriguing? Well, it is to be the control center of the home system of artificial intelligence, which means that it can be used to control the fridge, loudspeaker and other smart devices. LG has taken an ambitious direction of development!

Nokia 8 Sirocco

The latest smartphone from Samsung, LG, Asus ... what else is missing? The last of our new products is Nokia 8 Sirocco, a flagship in which not everyone believed. In part, it can rightly be, because it is not a whole new model, but a special version of the already known Nokia 8. However, it does not change the fact that the phone deserves attention and its specification looks interesting. What does it offer? The pOLED 2K display with a diagonal of 5.5 inches with rounded edges, two good cameras on the back with the optics of the valued company ZEISS and a wide-angle main camera are just a few examples!

Older Intel processors, however, without a correction before Specter

The beginning of the year was marked by a scandal with vulnerabilities in processors that could expose users to Meltdown and Specter attacks. The situation is slowly returning to normal, and the latest platforms are or will be secured soon. The situation is different with older Intel platforms - the producer informed that such constructions, however, will not receive an appropriate amendment.

The manufacturer has once again analyzed the subject of security vulnerabilities and resigned from the development of the amendment in the following cases:

microarchitecture makes it impossible to update the microcode, which would introduce corrections before the Spectre attack (option 2)

limited system software support prevents distribution of the new microcode

the platform has been implemented as a closed system, so it will not be available in the outside and therefore vulnerable to attacks

In other cases, the appropriate patch has been released or will be released soon (so check the BIOS update for the motherboard for the latest version with the updated microcode). Corresponding patches are also distributed in optional updates for Windows 10, although so far only for the newest and most popular Skylake, Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake platforms.

Unofficial Xiaomi Mi A2 specification

Rumors about the A2 model have been appearing for some time, but now we have some specific details from the Chinese TENAA certification base. The new smartphone of the MIUI-free series will be equipped as follows:

The difference with A1 is therefore not a step, but rather a half step. Slightly larger display, clearly better resolution, Snapdragon 626 instead of 625. The same RAM and memory for data, almost the same battery. The difference is in cameras. A1 has a rear module 13 + 13 MP and a front 5 MP. In A2, there should be a set of 20 + 8 at the back and 20 MP at the front. Here, then, the change is visible.
