Most of the people here aren't technical. That being said there are some awesome devs. Check out @jesta and also there is a JavaScript library for steemit. From what I've seen people who so Steem development get mad upvote. It's on my to do list. @edjag already came up with a good idea.

But between work and having @ealbania bug me every 10 seconds for Steem related questions I don't know where to find the time.
