New IBM PC / AT from 1988

One of the admirers of retro computers decided to buy a new IBM PC / AT. The computer lay in a sealed box for exactly 29 years.

IBM PC / AT supplied a complete set of documentation.

Charlie Chaplin is not here by chance. It was his image in the eighties that IBM used for advertising.

Standard 101-button keyboard with DIN-5 connector.

The computer was equipped with one 5.25 inch disk drive for 1.2 MB.

As the central processor used Intel 80286 at 6 MHz. The size of the hard drive was 20 MB.

The amount of standard RAM was 512 KB.

In ROM, the programming language Basic is sewn.

And of course the game. Monitor and video card standard EGA (16 colors).
