What I find disturbing is that the Facebook algorithms used to control your news feeds are programmed to show you things that you want to see and that it knows you will like. This leads to people developing very narrow minded opinions.
This why I love steemit because I get to see alternate views along with the ability to show support to those views to which I agree. This platform is therefore a much healthier media channel for society in my opinion.
100% agree with you. I was actually thinking about writing a blogpost where I elaborate on this. Love that you pointed it out :)
