Whoops. Honest mistake not posting the like to the original. Fixed. I assumed the content itself would be better than second rate summary. (If properly credited, which I obviously messed up)
If that's the protocol, than I will write summaries for the content I find interesting rather than posting the article text and have a link to the source. Thanks for the heads up instead of a downvote with no explanation.
It's not only about the credits. Pasting the whole article gives the reader less reason to klick the link at the end, resulting in ad losses for the author, leading to possible copyright takedown notices for steemit. And we don't want those, do we?
As pharesim said, best to just not post the whole article. If you want to write a summary or your own reaction and a link, that's great. If not, then posting a paragraph or two and a link is okay too.
