Will Apple make any radical changes in iOS 12?

A new report says that Apple will focus on security and stability in iOS 12 update!

Apple is preparing to roll out iOS 12 this year, but it seems like most exciting new features will be coming in further iterations of the mobile OS, in 2019.

According to Axios's report, iOS 12 will be an update that will focus on reliability and performance improvements. There is a very large list of issues that are waiting to be fixed in iOS 11, so it's a good idea for Apple to focus on fixing existing bugs, instead of creating more features. However, this means that the expected innovations for iOS 12 and new Apple applications that will accompany the new iteration will be postponed to iOS 13 which is expected to roll out a year and a half later.

It's too early to talk about the iOS 12 update, let alone iOS 13. But still, the report speculates the innovations that are expected to be included in iOS 12 and further speculates that those will be postponed to iOS 13. According to the report, the home screen of your iPhone or iPad will not be changed with iOS 12, and there will be no major changes in the core Apple applications.

The lack of major changes in core applications can cause a righteous disappointment among Apple fans. For example, the Mail application still lacks some productivity features and still does not provide a simple function of adding a hyperlink to a text. You need to send the exact URL when you are adding a link to your mail.

However, there will be some minor changes in iOS 12. In addition to security and stability updates, there will be improvements on Health, Parental Controls, and Augmented Reality.

The release date for iOS 12 is expected to be announced at WWDC 2018 in June.
