ARM is Also Breaking Up with Huawei || News2Day

in #technology6 years ago (edited)

It seems like Huawei is in Double Jeorpady, receiving another blow by ARM right after Google. Its definitely like the feeling of being cut off an arm or maybe worst, Huawei lost the right to their "brain" manufacturing.

Huawei's subsidiary semiconductor company, HiSilicon manufactures their in-house customized KIRIN mobile processors based on licensed designs purchased from ARM holdings. Losing ties with ARM, Huawei lost their license to produce these processors for their flagship models. So, does this pretty much means Huawei cannot sell their products out of China due to patent infringement? Does this mean current Huawei flagship models might lost their spare part production as well? This is just like how "Thrumnos" wiping off Huawei.
