Is iPhone 8 worth upgrading or you should wait for iPhone X…steemCreated with Sketch.

Whatsup guys, this post is kind of tuff one because I wasn’t planning on making this post but I had too many people asking is it worth upgrading to iPhone 8 if you literally just bought an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 plus about a year ago.

Is the price is just defiable?

Is the upgrade just defiable?

What’s the difference between these two phones? (Which is not much)

Literally, guys, there is not much of a difference between these two phones. But if you have the money then it will be another case but there are many people who are on the edge that is it worth… or is it not… I'm going to help you make that decision.
On the face of it, it is not going to be a significant upgrade. Going from an iPhone 6 or 6s it will be a worthy upgrade but if you own an iPhone 7 or 7 plus it is not going to be of much difference.

As on September 12, Apple announced its new phones named iPhone 8, 8 plus and iPhone X.

iPhone X is a different thing which will be available in November, but iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is an upgrade from iPhone 7 and 7 plus. There is not much of a difference between these phones.

First starting with the similarities in these phones…

• First, both have 2nd gen Touch id which is great and pretty fast and responsive, both have the same speed and we can say same fingerprint sensors.

• Both have a same 7-megapixel front facing camera but might be different. On the paper, both are similar specifications.

• Disappointing is that iPhone 8 is only having IP67 water resistance rating which is kind of old school apple did not upgrade
that. Other companies at this price point are giving an IP68 rating.

• RAM is also same for these devices as 2 gigs for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 and 3 gigs for iPhone 7 plus and iPhone 8 plus.

• Battery life also specs wise is same as the iPhone 7 as it provides 21 hrs of talk time. You are not getting any better hrs on iPhone 8 or 8 plus.

• Still no headphone jack. Adapters are included in the box.

• Display wise both iPhone 7 and 8 are same except for one new additional feature with iPhone 8 and 8 plus which is True Tone, which kind of not making much of a difference.

So most of the specs remain the same as on paper except few which I'm going to tell you now.
Now coming to the differences that are actually quite a bit but not very significant. Still, there is a lot of stuff you should know about.
• First up is the new Glass design which makes it feel different. Glass on the back is claimed to be the toughest on any smartphone now.
Having glass back Brings up a new feature known as wireless charging of either chi standard. So you don’t have to buy a wireless charger from apple.

• There is fast charging on the phone but you have to pay extra to get the adapter to charge your phone quickly.

• Speakers on iPhone 8 are going to be 25% louder from iPhone 7 and having better bass uniformity.

• True Tone display is on the iPhone 8 which makes the screen looks good but it really does not make any difference.

• The camera on the paper is same as 12 megapixels on the iPhone 8 but apple claims it to be better than the iPhone 7
because of the A11 Bionic chip. It will get a better picture and video quality (according to apple). In iPhone 8 plus it also shares the same camera from iPhone 7 plus.

• The biggest difference is that of the CPU and GPU performance. They made it 25% faster for the higher end CPU and 70% faster for the lower end one which handles the background processes.

• The GPU is now 70% faster from the previous one and on the benchmark testing, it is crushing all the android phones out there right now.
Now coming to the pricing for both the phones iPhone 8 and 8 plus going to be selling at the price $50 more for which the
iPhone 7 was launched and for the iPhone 8 plus it is going to be $30 more on which the iPhone 7 plus was launched.

Coming to the conclusion specs on paper is the same for both the devices. It is not going to be a worthy upgrade from iPhone 7 and 7 plus if you are concerned about the specs like display, or the camera. The only main difference on these devices will be the A11 Bionic chip which is crazy fast. But seriously guys iPhone 7 and 7 plus were fast already the only thing I think Apple is doing great in is their processors and performance. On iPhone 7 or 7 Plus the performance was never a kind of issue.
So if you have money and want the latest flagship from apple you can definitely go for it but for the peoples having limited money and concerned about what actually they are getting new and want something good for the price they are paying then you guys should wait for the iPhone X.
