Drones and Indonesian Agricultural Applications Competing in Malaysia

Indonesian students presented drone technology for agriculture in Imagine Cup 2018 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia,

  • Two teams of students from Indonesia presented drone technology and mobile phone applications for agriculture in the Asia Pacific Imagine Cup final 2018, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Wednesday (4/4/2018). They compete against 13 other teams from various countries in Asia Pacific.

The first team, three Indonesian students who studied at the University of Manchester, England. The team consists of Ishak Hilton Pujantoro Tnunay and Muhamad Randi Ritvaldi as engineers, and Anindita Pradana Suteja who acts as a business analyst. They created BeeHive Drone, a drone technology for agriculture.

In his presentation, Anindita explained that this drone can do various agricultural tasks such as watering, monitoring, to spraying pesticides and fertilizers.

"Drone we can pass treatment according to the needs of each plant," said Anindita in his presentation to the jury Imagine Cup
