Idea #4 - Screaming - A Method For Data Compression

I had this idea around 15 years ago when the internet was slow and mostly run on 56k modems.

This idea could perhaps be outdated, and certainly may not work.. but here it is.

Imagine getting a data file - It could be text, video, images, any digital data will work.

This data is then converted into a sound file.. ever hear data go over a 56k modem?

Now we speed up this sound file - we can speed it up hundreds of times, perhaps even more.

The sound file will now be much shorter, we could take a 1 minute sound file and speed it up 60X and end up with a one sec sound file.

This one second sound file could be sent over the internet, and once downloaded to the target PC - the speed could be set back to normal.

This method could be easily tested by using a song - Speed it up, see if the file is smaller and see if the file can be sent over the internet without loss of data.
