Idea #5 - How To Stop Fake News

We all know that fake news is a MASSIVE problem on the internet.. and i feel i have a solution to the problem.

My idea is simple.. it's a social media style website where users can post a link, and other users verify the validity of said information.

So someone could post.. let's say a news article.

A new page is created - something like a Wiki page with information on this link.

Other users can submit supporting links, comments, videos, images - All types of data can be submitted in relation to this link.

A whole discussion and debate on this link can be created.

This will create a massive page of information about this link, this news article.

Each link submitted into the system can have a ranking, showing how likely this information is to be true.

Users can be ranked and news sources can be ranked and sorted by trustworthiness.

This will allow anyone in the world to search for information on a link, and find out how accurate this information is quickly.

Once this system had enough links and users Google would be forced to buy it ;)
