Bangladesh Business Process Outsourcing (BP) sector is earning $ 300 million, the BPO sector is working, about 40,000 young people are working. If this trend of growth continues, by 2021 the sector will have employment for one lakh people. It is possible to become self-reliant by acquiring skill by training in IT sector, not government jobs. He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the 'BPO Summit Bangladesh-018' organized at a hotel in the capital yesterday, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy said.

In order to highlight the position of the BP sector in the domestic and international markets, the two-day long association was organized in Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel for the third time. The summit has been jointly organized by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DoICT) and Bangladesh Association of Colentants and Outsourcing (Sentences) under the Department of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, ICT Division.
