How do you find good software tools for software development and automation? Sometimes you know what you need and can search for it. But you might have a hard time finding a tool that does the job without to much overhead or you don't know that someone has already solved a problem. One Thing well is a weblog about simple, useful software. It "aims to showcase the applications, tools and utilities that do one thing well, with or without a graphical user interface, on any platform, be they commercial, free or open source."

It hasn't been updated in a while Bad hands hiatus but on Twitter the author promises a restart. There is a big archive to go through in the meantime, e.g. search the archives for bitcoin posts
