Google is watching you! Try these search engines instead
Hello steemit friends
Today I thought I'd share with all of you a couple of interesting alternatives to the Google search engine. Why would you need to change from Google? Well have you ever noticed how adverts on some websites always change depending on what you recently searched for on Google? This is because Google collects information about you and uses some algorithms to determine certain aspects about you, they may even be able to determine your financial status, medical problems and much more. Now I'm not accusing Google of using this info in any harmful way, I just get a little worried because all of this info about you, that you may have thought was private, is in the hands of strangers. Now I'm sorry if I made some of you paranoid but not to worry I have a couple of search engines that have just as much knowledge about what you search for as Google and a little less knowledge about your bowel movement.
DuckDuckGo
DuckDuckGo prides itself on how private it is. It doesn't collect any personal information and it doesn't track your searches. They have a clean, smooth interface and some awesome unique features like bangs which allow you to search on other sites directly.
StartPage by ixquick
StartPage by ixquick is actually "enhanced" by Google. This is for the people that are already used to the Google way. StartPage performs a Google search for you, leaving you completely anonymous and just like DuckDuckGo it doesn't collect any personal information and it doesn't track your searches.
These are my favorite alternative search engines to Google, let me know which one you've tried and which one you prefer.

Personally I use DDG to search for items I do not wish to share to any one.
Even NO to a search engine.
