Artificial intelligence converted a 124 years old video into 4K
An artificial intelligence technology that can be used by anyone converted a video recorded in 1896 to 4K 60 fps.
Artificial intelligence and similar technologies continue to serve humanity in different fields. A publicly available AI technology upgraded a low- resolution video recorded 124 years ago to 4K 60 fps. This method called upscaling means increasing the resolution of the video.
These efforts Denis Shiryaev is YouTube is brought to life by. And in 1896 it recorded a 50-second clip of a famous train l'arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat 's thanks to this technology that makes high-resolution Shiryaev has been signed to a major study. YouTuber announced that Google used artificial intelligence solutions called Gigapixel AI by DAIN and Topaz Labs.
The result is not perfect. However, we can state that it was sufficient for an image recorded with the technologies of that period and which could not be captured again. In this technology, it replicates non-artificial intelligence frames with the estimation method. As you can see in the videos below, the result is not perfect, but still, there is a traceable result.
This technology can be used for many previously recorded videos. This means that there is a new solution especially for images that cannot be recorded again (eg Ataturk videos).
