Firefox will protect its users against Facebook

in #technology7 years ago

Mozilla, the company behind the Firefox browser, has announced that it's working on a browser extension that aims to protect user's data when logging into Facebook.

Facebook Container is a special tab that is designed to place a virtual wall between your Facebook activity and the other online activities you are performing at the same moment. The founders do mention as well that data leaks like Cambridge Analytica won't be prevented through this solution, but it will be able to downsize the amount of data Facebook is gathering from your browsing behavior.

i recommend using Opera, which now has Integrated VPN you can toggle on/off ! And I recommend following me and helping each other grow on Steemit! cheers!

Yes sir! Opera is great and underestimated! Too much surveillance these days, but everyone has a path to choose. If someone doesn't care about privacy and have nothing "to hide", then it have nothing to say.
I am following you. Cheers my friend!

No Web, download application Facebook

So it's like sanboxing

Sandboxing is even one or two steps further than this, but it's a similar approach indeed.

Facebook is like smoking. You hate it but you cannot give up :( The bad thing it keeps pinging you to share info on it. Best is staying away from it which i couldn't manage to do either.

We need to give more support to Mozilla and other Open-source software and platforms. This is the only way, my friends. Nobody wants to be digitally jailed, especially not in today's world drama.

Great article! I made a link to your post. I would appreciate if you had a glance at mine just made today.
