The Rise Of Tesla

in #technology7 years ago

Tesla is known for every car and tech enthusiast all over the globe for it's most efficient, high-tech electric cars. It is a true fact that no one builds electric cars the way Tesla does. According to me, there is hardly any competition for Tesla in the market.

Tesla began as a startup in Silicon Valley in the year 2003 by a group of engineers passionate to make an environment-friendly car which people would love to buy. Seeing the potential in the company, Elon Musk starting backing Tesla in 2004. Since then, they have never looked back.

Coming to Elon Musk. Imagine a world without technology or imagine a world without Elon Musk. He has given so much to the entire planet in terms of technology that whatever he wishes to make someday seems possible. He's a visionary who has revolutionized the industry's technology standards every here and then, whether it be Tesla or SpaceX. You cannot doubt the capability of that man.

Elon Musk took over as the CEO of Tesla Motors in 2008 and that's when the people knew it's time that electric cars are about to take over their ancestral fossil fuel ones.

Tesla started with the Roadster but shifted to making the Model S to rival the existing players like BMW, Mercedes, and Jaguar.

Then came the P90D, 0-100Kmph in 3 seconds. NO! It's not a supercar but surely seems to be one. This is the kind of cars the world needs, fast but efficient. Yes, efficient. Model S could run up to 400Kms on a single charge.

Tesla is one of those cars which get the On-The-Air Updates and their software keeps getting updated by the company with the latest technology.

The initial thought of people when buying electric cars is that they might run out of battery and get stranded in the middle of nowhere and on the other hand there are petrol stations for the fuel-run cars everywhere. That's where Tesla came up with the idea of Superchargers. These are the fuel stations for Tesla Motorcars. Roughly, there are 700 Superchargers across America, Europe, Asia and Australia. These 700+ superchargers have nearly 4000 individual charging points for Tesla owners.

Then came the Model 3 with 325000 bookings within a week which expanded up to 1800 bookings per day.

Last year, they brought Model X to the market which is claimed to be the safest and quickest SUV ever which goes up to 60Mph in 2.9 seconds. Tesla is also entering the heavy vehicle market with its truck "Semi".

For the global benefit, Tesla must spread to every corner in the world considering the rise in global warming and lesser availability of fuel in future.
