I think this is a great idea for several reasons. You are writting good content that is interesting and not getting much support for your work. However this page might get indexed by the search engines and you might one day get a small future reward if someone clicks on your links and buys the item that you have worked hard to describe. Some might not like it but they could upvote your content so that you wouldn't need to have to add affiliate links. I think what you are doing adds real value to a platform when done at this level as it isn't spammy. It is well written. If you wanted to hide the links you could put [around text] then at the end right next to it put (yourlink).
