CES 2018 - Exciting New Technology For You
It’s what I like to call “the land of gizmos, gadgets, and geeks galore!” CES 2018 is engulfing Las Vegas, Nevada once again with a lot of buzz and action doing business and pushing technology. It is my annual pilgrimage to this mecca of tech as I hang out with 175,000 of my closest friends!
This year we are seeing excitement in areas like Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), drones, robots, IoT (Internet of Things) and, of course, mobility. There is a lot of emphasis on making technology more practical and usable for average people. I like that.
In this short intro video you’ll see just a few of the items that were featured at the opening CES Unveiled which showcases some of the hottest technology. I like this event as many of the vendors are demonstrating their technology which recently won awards as being most innovative and useful.
I’m planning to keep you posted on what is happening —- provided we have strong bandwidth! One thing that is surprising is the the bandwidth in the Media Room is much slower than before. I remember a few years ago it was normal to have bandwidth of 150+ Mbps up and down. Today I tested it and it is a paltry 3.4Mbps down and a painfully slow 1.4Mbps up. Oh well, if I can get this info to you, I’ll do it! I’m committed to helping you.
